Radlett GBS
Giant now have a fantastic store in a prime location opposite the main train station in Radlett's town centre. A suburb of London, this is now the 3rd store around the capital city.
A 400m2 area over 2 levels has given this recent store fantastic opportunity to grow and expand.
The Brief:
Transform a derelict Sainsbury's that has sat empty for over 6 years into the 7th GBS store and the 3rd to cover the outskirts of London.
Renovate the building and strategically layout a retail environment that will increase sales in this store.
The Result:
After renovating the building by sealing rising damp, removing asbestos, opening up the roof space, and fitting a new frontage to flood the retail space with natural light, Whiteroom set about fitting out the store.
Here we balanced the space with lifestyle and road-focussed product areas to increase commuter sales as the store is opposite the main commuter station in Radlett. We then grouped the apparel and gear sections to make the consumer shopping experience as easy and as pleasurable as possible.
Bike shops have a current image of being localised and something too specialist. With these stores Giant and Whiteroom are opening up the market in creating lifestyle stores that will increase profit and brand awareness.
Giant and Whiteroom are now focussed on expanding the program out to more cities and towns across the UK.
